Total carbs or net carbs on Keto?

I think I read under 30 carbs is the real Keto and can put you in ketosis. Is that net or total and is the 30 correct?

Under 20 net carbs will get most people into ketosis.

I do total carbs. It leaves a little room in case there are hidden carbs since I cannot always check the labels on spices, etc.

Limiting carbs with either method will help you get closer to your goals. You may want to start with net carbs and then move to total carbs.
