Too much protein

I seem to go over my protein allotment.  Today for breakfast I had 2 boiled eggs with turkey bacon.

For lunch chicken burger no bun but had bacon and 1 slice of cheddar cheese on it

I hit my max protein.

The answer is to eat less but I don’t feel like I am overeating  Any advice.

Hi sherry, what are your macro percentages and your calories? Just an observation but the proteins you are eating are lean. You might want to increase your fat  as well. Boiled eggs...scrambled eggs wIth butter and cheese.  Turkey bacon...regular bacon, etc.  chicken patty again is really lean.

I don't worry about my calorie intake or the actual grams of protein/carbs.  As long as my ratios (percentages) of what I eat each day are 70% fat, 25% protein and 5% carbs, I know I am fine and can eat what I need to stay in my range.

you may need to tweak you ratios as I can and do eat more protein then what you have indicated.

  • I wouldnt worry about it, unless you arent seeing the scale move. Then i would take a closer look. Some people can get away with eating more protiens than others, especially if you are fairly active. However, if you switch to a less lean protien source and pair with more fats, you may find yourself eating less naturally.

Hi, I had the same issue. I reduced my normal 4oz of meat per meal to 3oz and upped my fat by adding additional olive oil, avocado and nuts whenever I can and I have been hitting my 70/25/5 ratio since.
