Dull ache left side of stomach

Hi all,

I'm in week 2 and last night had a dull ache on the left side of my stomach. Has anyone had this? I've had this type of pain on my right side when I had kidney stones. I'm wondering if this is normal. I have upped my intake of mct. I eat lots of veggies, broccoli, cauliflower, leafy greens, chicken, salmon, steak, different ground meats. I drink lots of water and one 12 oz sugar free Gatorade a day. I also use perfect keto powder once or twice a day depending if I need more protein. I'm often low on protein and fats. I'll hit like 80-100 out of 120. I'm usually under on my carbs. Wondering if my kidneys or other organs are having a hard time processing all the fats.

  • I'm not a doctor, I do get those aches as well. I now take Benefiber no carbs, because this helps with BM's. Too much fiber foods for me can get stuck in the colon and with keto you are usually prone to C....pation.

I Actually just read 20 minutes ago about this that may help you. Doing Keto you have to make sure to stay on top of your magnesium because if you aren’t getting enough it can cause muscle pains and kidney stones. I’ll attach a link below that goes more in depth

MCTs are definitely known to cause ab pain if introduced too fast and too much.

I have had these as well!! It feels like a stitch from running on a full stomach or something. It’s quite annoying. For me, it’s right at my stomach level, just under my ribs. I don’t know what this is but I’m glad to hear it’s not just me!  I have taken some MCT oil but only once so far and I’ve had this feeling since my 3rd day on and off. I have been constipated since this started. But honestly, there’s something about it that makes me think it’s a vitamin deficiency. I’m no expert; I just “feel” like that’s what it is. If anyone else has any actual answers that’d be awesome!
