Carb/protein/fat

I have been doing this WOE for about 6 weeks.  14 lbs down, but stalled already.  I Am fairly consistent with Carbs between 30-40, but fats are always lower and protein sometimes higher than allotted. Will this sabotage weight loss?  Is there info you can guide me to to help set these values?  Thanks!!

Hi 馃憢 there鈥檚 a topic called Favourite Self Education under low carb chat and a Among the many topics there鈥檚 one listed regarding Macros. I do the Keto so keep Carb to max 20g per day, 3-6 oz protein per meal and high fat. Congratulations on 14lbs 馃檶馃帀

  • You need your fats high enough that your body doesn't think it's starving from low carbs.  Your body needs either carbs or fat intake for fuel.  Dropping fats will tell the body to hoard everything it can.  Keep your fats up.  Ignore everything you've heard over the years about 'lower your fats.'  It's a con.  My own macro for a 2 lb per week weight loss is 60 g carb to 140 g fat per day and 130 g protein.  My carbs are often under that number in the 45-50 g range and my fats are running 70-100 g per day with protein also 70-100 g.

lrcogle5f84  the macros are a lot higher than what I am doing.  May I ask your weight and gender?  Does this have anything to do with setting macros?   I am losing, but very slowly... which is good I guess.

    lrcogle5f84 thanks for info.  I am 68, 5'5", SW 229 (10/6/17) .... CW 212 (12/8/17)

    trying to keep Carbs around 40 (12%), Protein 84 (25%), and Fat 94 (64%).

weight loss of 17 lbs in 2 months seems not too bad. Seeing some differences in how clothes fit, so assuming inches lost.  Wish I had measured when i first started....but.....  thanks for responding.  Nice to know someone 馃槈

lrcogle5f84 You can do this. Hang through it no matter what. In a few months your cloths will be hanging off you and you will have to go shopping.
