When is a good time to incorporate IF?
So I've been on and off keto or low carb for years now. In January I had a good run and lost 25 pounds in about a month, and unfortunately fell off the wagon and gained it back just as quickly. The last 2 weeks I've recommitted and have come back low carb, but am not losing weight, ir at least not losing as quickly as before. I've read on other posts this is common. I view it as a sort of punishment your body gives you. I imagine my metabolism now remembers the tactics I used earlier in the year and isnt about to fall for it this time lol.
Either way, I've decided to not let that deter me. This last week I dived into a mostly meat and fats week with some hardboiled eggs for snacks. It's done good to keep my cravings and hunger at bay, but again, no significant changes on the scale. It has been a warm week, and as I work outside 10 hours a day, I could imagine that there may be some water retention due to that.
I've read to make sure that you are fat adapted before attempting IF? Just wondering if once the cravings for sugar are gone, is that a good indicator of fat adaptation? It's amazing that I can now taste the sweetness in heavy cream lol. Just wanting some feedback on whether or not I should wait a couple more weeks before trying IF, and possibly EF? Thanks in advance

Haha! I guess I may not have been very clear. I was planning on a 16:8 window where I started eating at lunch and ended by 7pm. I was wondering if I was supposed to wait until I was fully fat adapted, and how do you know for sure if you are? I dont measure my ketones or blood sugar... is there any other way to know?

Gina thanks! That's kinda what I figured, but didnt want to set myself up for failure. I do think that fasting can really help to make me more aware of when I'm actually hungry. I've always been a snacker, not so much a big meal kinda gal. Going super low carb has really helped make it easier to not be hungry in between meals. Thanks again for your input!
