I'm still so new at this and still learning, but from what I can gather, some people have a lot of success eating more carbs every third day. I think the official term is called "Carb Cycling"? Evidently, you have to trick your body some more to keep burning fat for fuel. You can look it up! Something else, I think if you're making your calorie goal which is with the weight loss range, you'll lose lbs by default but it will be slower....I think. Pound some cucumber water over the next few days and see if you can shed a few pounds to give you a little feel good feeling.

If you are working out depending on the intensity, you may need to up protein a bit on those days. You may also want to try a day of fasting or intermittent fasting. Are you keeping your carbs under 20g? Be sure to check for any hidden carbs in anything you're eating too. Everyone is different but generally you should drop a lot of water weight that first week and then you will slow down to more 1-2 lbs a week.

Corrina Thanks, what I don’t get is if I am staying under 1770 calories a day to lose 1 pound a week, I’m still not losing really. I have been at 177.2 for 4 days. I don’t eat all the bacon and heavy dairy. Just the good oils and some cheese. I just feel like people can eat all the saturated fat and lose better and they may not be counting calories ya know. I’m also wondering if my blood pressure and low dose thyroid medication is preventing weight loss too. I wouldn’t think so, but I can’t find anything anywhere about it being a preventer. I had blood work done yesterday so that will at least tell me where I’m at. I’m in Ketosis too!

dshean87 I am definitely under 20g carbs and logging everything. When I did Atkins years ago, I didn’t track calories and I just ate bacon , eggs ,cheese ,chicken etc, and lost 30 lbs. I’m 38 and I just don’t get why I can’t shed. I have a lot of muscle mass, but that can’t be preventing anything. I also don’t take any supplements.

I’m 56 and lightly active and CM gives me a little over 1800 calories per day. If you’re doing that much HIIT and only eating 1770 calories per day at your age, I suspect that’s the problem. I would tweak my calories up 50 or 100 for a week and see what happens. If you’ve only been stuck for a few days, then I wouldn’t do anything except add intermittent fasting if you don’t already. Now, after saying all of that I guess I should mention that I’m a guy.

So I’ve lost 120 pounds on keto and I can pass on what makes me stall.
High intensity workouts stall my weight loss. High intensity workouts cause my liver to produce glucose which stops my fat burning mode.
I lose weight easier with low intensity workouts because it keeps me in fat burning mode.
When I do high-intensity workouts I make sure to have a low intensity stationary bike ride in the afternoon.

Withrow Urban Homestead I’m just going to be so sad if this is the case. My heart rate monitor says I’m in fat burning mode for most of my workouts so my heart rate sticks around 127 - 133. I’m not in a full cardio mode. I’m just don’t want to give up this training I do. It’s so rewarding. I guess I’m really stuck if I can’t lose because of the workout I do.

You could try doing the lower intense workouts for a week and see how your body responds and go from there. Doesn't mean you'll be permanently giving it up. If you see results that way, then try doing the HIIT only twice a week and lower intensity the other days for example. If anything I have learned that you need to give you body time to adapt. I am 4 weeks into keto and am just now feeling like my body has adapted to the fat burning process. I finally feel like I could add in some workouts so I will likely take it slow and easy.
