I can't eat all the food!

Hi All,

I'm in my first week and just joined the carb manager (love it!!)  If I'm interpreting the chart correctly,  I don't come anywhere close to eating everything I "should"  I can't remember the last time I've eaten 1500 calories in a day, let alone 116 g of fat!!   These are my numbers going in to dinner.  I have not had any fiber.  The calories are low because they deduct when you log exercise.  What are y'all eating??  I got the Keto  test strips and have trace amounts of Ketones.   I weigh 150 lbs and am trying to loose my Covid 10 ;) Any suggestions??

Good way to add lots of fats - coconut oil, olive oil, nuts, nut butters, eggs, cheese, avocados...

Kat H Thanks Kat!  I've been thinking of little things, like I have to get rid of the sprays and use real oil and all the things you mentioned.  So many years of low fat thinking, I need to make the shift.

  • I've only been doing keto for 3 days but I wasn't coming anywhere near my fat needs for the day so I found a recipe for high fat keto cheesecake bombs and they have been so good, I've managed to lose 11 lbs in 3 days which surprised me

  • Don't eat if you're not hungry... as long as you're getting every bit of the nutrients you need (number one priority!) then slowly adding more fats to hit optimal fat % is fine, let your system get used it. Give yourself time to research recipes. Keto's not a race. 😄

I'm not hungry yet but when I am, I'll be having a  yummy bacon and brussel sprouts fry-up for lunch. Happy for most of my carbs for today to go on that! Wish I had a little liver to throw in

  • I have been adding 2 pats of butter and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream to my coffee to get fats in.  I have also been eating 2 avocado's a day which adds to the fat number.  I know that it seems insurmountable but I have found that the little things are adding up.

  • It was hard at first, I understand. In the morning sandwich with peanut paste, it has a lot of healthy fats, you can also add avocado, olive oil. You don't have to eat if you're not hungry. Are you counting calories?
