Low Carb Coffee Creamer

my biggest issue is I am a coffee drinker and I can not drink it black.  Is there any good low carb keto friendly creamers?

Yes!  18% coffee cream!  1g carbs per tbsp.  I couldn't drink it black either.

"18% coffee cream" ? This must be a brand I have never heard of. Is this a liquid in the refrigerator section?

Ok, I just found this "Natrel" 18% coffee cream and it has 1 carbohydrate per each tablespoon,

Which is about the same as my Coffee-Mate sugar-free French vanilla. Which also list 1 carbs per tablespoon. Which is the same as International Delight as well.

Here's the sad part, I put two tablespoons in every cup and I drink multiple cups all day long. It's a decaf but I am addicted to my coffee! So these carbs add up very quickly to someone who drinks more than one cup a day,

And I am on 20 carbs a day I am new. I can spend half of those on creamer! So I understand the concern of trying to find coffee creamer that has zero carbs.

I had been using straight heavy cream (33%) but the calories really add up (177 for two tablespoons) so recently I've switched to unsweetened almond milk. It doesn't lighten up the coffee much and doesnt have the fat but it does help with the flavor and you can add practically a full cup and no carbs and only 12 calories.

that said, I just spent some time on thrive market today (for the first time... im trying it out as its a paid subscription, i have 30 days to change my mind) and they had umptillion keto creamer options. I bought one but will have to wait for it to arrive. It was billed as almond milk with coconut cream.

Jean Dont use the artificial stuff.  That's nasty stuff.  Palm oils and canola etc all nasty.  Be kind to yourself.  And the keto diet will take away the contant need for coffee.  You needed caffeine to counteract the fatigue you feel when consuming carbs.  You're off the hamster wheel now.  Just have morning coffee, and go the day drinking water to replace the coffee.  You'll look and feel so much better!

Schelry Hmmm.,  Just use ordinary coffee cream.  It should be in your dairy section with the milk and buttermilk and whipping cream.  You'll throw off all your macros doing what you're doing, I think, just my opinion.  I agree whipping cream more than 1 tbsp isnt good, and the almond milk is watery and wont be enjoyable and you'll have to use so much it's silly, just get ordinary coffee cream.  It's in between half n half and whipping cream and is just right in coffee.  Maybe it has another name if you're american?  In Canada Dairyland calls it Coffee Cream and it has 18% fat.  A half tbsp whipping cream might be okay mixed with a half tbsp of creamo.  Have you thought to try that idea yet?

@supermom I used to use International Delight, but the  amount of coffee cream I like in my coffee, and the number of coffees I drink in a day, equated to half a cup of coffee cream in a day or 8 grams of carbs, which was not sustainable. Hence the looking for another solution. Heavy cream is delightful and no carbs, but high on calories so also not sustainable. Almond milk is working on no carbs and extremely low calories, tastes quite good, but I'd like some fat in there which is why I went for the option at thrive market to see what its like.

I use heavy cream or half and half.    There is a new Almond Breeze unsweetened creamer out now that is pretty good, too.  It is with the other creamers in the dairy case if your store carries it.

Sandy P Does this new Almond Breeze Unsweetened creamer say "creamer" on the bottle?  MOst everything i can find online, it says "almond milk" not creamer....

I can not even find this creamer on google...but, i am looking for something that says "creamer" on the bottle?

    edit:

oh wait, is THIS it?  see photo,  it says it is not available in my area, which is surprising, since i live in decent sized town... darn.

Hewitts Cream is 100% cream and absolutely no carbs! I find the 18% and 10% and the other brands have milk, and carrageenan in it which add to the carbs!

Scubabumm Never heard of Hewitts but I'm out west in BC.  It's 10% cream I googled it.  All cream generally has 1g of carbs it's a dairy product.  I'm sure a tbsp won't break your day so go for it and enjoy your coffee.

Sandy P I hadn't seen this product before.  Have you tried Milkadamia from costco yet?  I like it even more than almond milk.  If they can make cheddar out of it I'd go dairy free in a heartbeat! LOL  I'm still using regular coffee cream in my coffee, out of habit.  I hope you find something that's 1g or less of carbs that you like

Supermom Milkadamia sounds delicious as I love the nuts!   We don't have a Costco here .. just Sam's Club.    Maybe our stores will pick that up so I can try it that too.   I have just gone back to Half & Half.   More carbs but taste so much better.

Sandy P Yes its macadamia nut milk.  So yum.   Half n half or 18% doesn't much matter for the 1 tbsp we use, IMO (in my opinion).  Oy 2am off to bed...
