    i was just wondering do you watch your net carb  or total carbs.. I’m a bit confessed.

    d.clements46 I count total carbs now, having done research I think this will carry me forward after I reach goal and keep me on track more closely once I increase them very slightly each week to establish a maintenance level. With 22lbs still to go I am now half way and still only in week 8.

    Hi there and welcome ! I’ve found this whole thing to be really cool, not only that - it works ! People are dropping pounds and quickly so. Easy to get off track, however, since if you’re not REPLACING carbs with fat, you’re ADDING carbs to fat and that is way high cal (!). I’ve been an organic vegie seafood eater, also a real foodie w my friends and family so have made some significant adjustments. Everyone’s so different and yet there’s real common ground with this.

    I’m feeling a bit stuck here. Got thru a 5 day social break - w now day three post break , and down almost to where I was before that break. ( initially  7 down pre-break - now 2 up from that and still total 12 to go for goal). Getting thru hard working days (at home 🏡 so ready access !) with 16:8 IF (intermittent fasting) + bullet proof coffee 1-2 cups/d. Eating just one meal (dinner) or sometimes add light lunch after 2pm plus dinner w husb at night. Both these meals within total daily carbs (23) but then I’ll snack along a little (!!!) as below ...

    In the eves, I’m feeling appetite  😋 and with a 1-2 net carb day behind me, seems just a bit entitled. Plus there’s the social aspect, since this is with husb and not alone. He’s totally supportive and although having beer and healthy extra treats himself ( we like no-sugar organic kefir with mixed whole food cereal I make - hey no Oreos, no pie !!!) , he says “ no don’t do that I don’t want to be bad for you!”  But I still feel somehow deserving and so then imbibe a bit- probably more than what I want to account for). 

    So stuck at this weight w still 12 to go - can’t seem to get off it like before. It’s been 3 days now. Also keto NEG this morning after last night as above. Yesterday pm up to 1.5 on my day plan as described. Ha ha this has happened twice in a row now. So looks like I’m just on the verge of ketogenic. Have u experienced this keto verge ? Whaddyathink! 

    I am adding just a touch of Stevia to the bulletproof coffee - have not felt carb addicted in my adult life but maybe that’s contributing to this appetite. Sure helps the taste of bulletproof (coffee) !  Need something to take in that’s net carb free or just 1-2 and still tastes good to me  !!!! 

    Ideas ?

    yah net carbs for me as well. Seems to encourage choosing high fiber which is oh so good for all !
