Yes, some people eat up to 50 grams a day. That definitely does not work for me though. It's all chemistry, and relies on several factors:

I found that I was eating too much protein at first and had a really hard time kickstarting the ketones. Once I cut my intake to about 0.75 grams per pound of lean bodyweight, those ketosticks were changing all sorts of colors.
