I have to go on a road trip and was wondering what “snacks” you would take? I will have a cooler if that helps.

My vice is that I like the salty crunchy snacks. I’ve found that chicharones satisfy that. What are they? Pork rinds. Zero carbs but have fat. Cheap and a lotta different kinds.

i also have the snack size pieces of cheese. Make some hard boiled eggs. And take some keto friendly mayo.

nuts! Macadamia make a good snack. Remember tree nuts and not ground nuts.

I’ve also found I can open a small can of tuna, put a little vinegar on it, and just eat the tuna right from the can.

    i’m sure There are other.

  • I'm with Charlie.  Macadamia nuts and pork rinds are my road trip staple snacks.  The pork rinds are available in different flavors and they really satisfy my crunchy, salty cravings without any carbs.

  • Definitely pork rinds...they are the best keto snack. This one is an acquired taste but if you like them, sardines are a great travel snack. Don't need a cooler, convenient can sized package and go great with cheese and pork rinds. Almond butter - 2 tbsp with some...yep...pork rinds. Make some cloud bread and pre-pack some sandwiches or romaine lettuce leaves (the long wide outside leaves from the romaine hearts) make a great "sandwich bread". Keep them in a ziplock in the cooler and some tuna or whatever your preference. I have been keto for 1.5 months and down 20ibs. The trick for me has been to get creative so I don't get bored. Helps that I am Hispanic and grew up on pork rinds lol. Best of luck and safe trip!
