Need Some Motivation

I’ve been on the Keto diet for about four weeks (strict for two of those). I’ve gained about .5 pound in that time. I typically eat 6-14 carbs a day, eat at a 300-600 calorie deficit and try to work out four times a week, though I’ll admit I’ve been struggling through my weight lifting routines. I’m getting really demotivated. I posted last week when it was my TOM and I felt better in thinking that it might have been the culprit. Now that’s long over and I still have no results. While I know people are going to say that I should be patient, I’m really struggling to understand how everyone is seeing these great numbers the first couple of weeks, and I’m not seeing any. Outside of going down to 0 carbs or going below 900 calories a day, I’m at a loss for what else I can do.

Might your calories be too low? The general advice seems to be not to drop below 1200 calls for women or your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to everything. Hope this helps. Good luck!

I agree you might not be eating enough calories.  My daily goal is 1400 based on what Carb Manager came up with.

Oh and try bullet proof coffee.  I make with good butter and MCT oil.  If you don't like coffee I'm sure you can make a tea.  Really helps get my fats up there.

Thanks all! For context, I’m only five feet tall and the calorie target came from Carb Manager and other apps. I’ll try to up it 100-200 calories and/or eat calories I burn when exercising to see if that helps.

I found that if you increase water and cut out as much artificial sugars, you will see some changes.  Also, the scale lies.  Only weigh in every once in a while.  I have found more progress by measuring.  You can keep track in CM
