Intermittent Fasting
I have been doing Keto since June 1st. I am a post menapausal woman with PCOS and started out about 50 lbs over weight. I am strict with my carbs, a BIG day for me would be to have 35 grams but I try hard to keep it below 20. I track my Macros and keep my protein between 20-25% of my intake. My calorie intact varies between 800 with a heavy eating day of 1200. I lost 13 lbs the first few weeks then stalled for several weeks. I started intermittent fasting 2 weeks ago, doing 16/8. I start eating about noon and end before 8 pm. The most the scale recognized was an 18 lb. loss but then my weight went back up a couple lbs. I'm still stalled and frustrated!!! Any insight is appreciated

You may be slowing your metabolism with too few calories. Shoot for over 1200. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.womansday.com/health-fitness/amp6004/your-bodys-metabolismexplained-125085/

Thank you to all. I think I may be too impatient and putting too much emphasis on the scale. I have to remind myself of all of the other benefits I'm getting. As a 60 year old grandmother I am now able to take care of my infant granddaughter with no back and hip paid that I was experiencing. This pain virtually disappeared long before I saw any measurable change in weight. For that along, Keto is amazing. I just have to have faith that over time my weight will be more reflective.

Hi, Barbara Clinard ! I am 73, and also added intermittant fasting to my low-carb food plan. I don’t worry about calories much, and mine vary from day to day also; but as long as the carbs stay low, and i fast, everything is going along, slowly, but going.
I have been swimming at the fitness center for exercise, and now I swim at the very end of my IF hours, so that I can burn the very most fat as possible. I am doing OMAD, and have an eating window that runs from around 11-2; so whenever I can have my meal, it works.

Walking is still harder for me, but much better after starting swimming and water exercises. I could walk in the water, and I looked on youtube for exercises to help my knees, and also did those and other water exercises.
Since I am a senior, I have a Silver Sneakers that comes with my Medicare Advantage program, and try to go to the fitness center 4-5 days a week. I can now walk a lot longer than I could before, and hope that as I lose weight, maybe I can ride a bike again.
