Keto salt supplement?
I bought a keto salt supplement to ward off the keto flu while I get started. I'm at the end of my first week and feel fine. Does anyone know how long I should take this stuff? I can't stand the taste (tried 2 flavors) but if I need to go longer,I will. I'm only in very mild ketosis right now according to my test strips. Thanks

Keto and low carb diets cause sodium to be depleted from the body. Everyone on these diets needs extra salt unless they have very high blood pressure that does not improve with a Ketogenic diet. See videos online by Dr. Phinney. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=r8uSv6OgHJE

cchambliss The BHB salts (exogenous ketones) you are taking put you in a temporary state of Ketosis, your goal should be for your body to create it's own ketones.
What you really need to do is make sure your carbs stay low, below 50 grams though it is preferred that you stay below 20 grams. Myself I weigh and measure everything that I eat and try to keep myself at a 500 calorie deficit.
Here are two links that you can read through, one is a Keto faq and the other is another discussion in this forum.
