Hi Nancy! I’m Rosie turning 54 this week and new to keto, 2 weeks intoI started at just under 170 and my goal is 140 as well. I was down 4.5 but i’m sure some water loss first since today I’m now only 2.5 lbs down. I don’t want to get frustrated with stressing over the ups and downs since I’m still going through my monthly cycle (although it’s not consistently regular) and my weight varies with that. I do want my body to get further into and stay in ketosis and not screw up my metabolism with too low of calories per day. The app has me at just under 1200 for a 1lb/week loss. I’m hoping for someone to recommend a good ketosis boosting product to help.

Dragonville It’s day 7 here. Down 5 pounds. I’m ok with that. I always expect to lose more weight faster! I don’t know why but think that but I wish it were true. I’m doing good with keeping carbs low. I definitely crave sweets and have found that whipped cream satisfies that. Even though it’s probably the worst How’s it going for you? And how do we add friends?

Awarwick4 I agree scrambled eggs everyday gets boring. However adding veggies and some cheese can spice it up. Also I do make an egg salad as an alternative. I’m going on day 7 I’ve lost 5 pounds and then cheated a little yesterday (my daughters grad party). And show an increase of 1 pound.
Dont give uo! You’ll find what meals work for you!

Hey Nancy, I'm 49 and doing keto for the 2nd time. I was very successful the first time and then kind of slipped back into my old ways. I've now realized that I feel better without the carbs and my mood is better. Are you feeling extra hungry when you add in exercise? What are your daily meals like?

Great job getting down to the last 10 pounds. I started out with a weight loss goal, but I changed it to a waist size goal. Your weight can fool and/or discourage you if you're working out as well as doing Keto. But your waistline (for the most part) doesn't lie, because you're not going to put on muscle in your waist. Just food for thought.

Hi Nancycast, I understand your frustration but it happens once in a while; it is just a sign that our body is redistributing everywhere.. What I do when a go through such a period is a very basic low carb intake and lots of water or coffee. Did you try the intermittent fasting? That is a great help for me too: last meal around 6:00 pm and next meal is the next day around noon time. Early in the morning, when I wake up, I've got to take a coffee but that doesn't count to brake the fast. I am 70 and lost around 30 pounds this way. See my presentation..
