No weight loss after a week
After nearly a week, I haven’t lost any weight. Should I just be patient? Does it sometimes take longer for some? I’ve stayed within my macros, I’ve been very careful. I’m convinced there’s something wrong with me and no matter what I do, I’ll never lose weight. Has anyone one else struggled like this?

Supermom Good advice. But if you get hungry in the evening, set your eating window to between 3 and 9 pm (no breakfast or lunch other than coffee). I usually exercise daily at 3 then after a shower I break my fast with a bit of protein and a bulletproof coffee, which tides me over until dinner around 7 or 8. Your daily schedule might not support this but you get the idea. Intermittent Fasting in conjunction with a Keto diet is a powerful combination!

Hutch Ah that's brilliant Hutch thanks, I will amend my eating window to be a bit later. I was worried that eating too close to bedtime would be an issue but you're right, it will stop me pacing around the kitchen at 10pm. Summoning up all that extra willpower has been rather exhausting. Many thanks. I suppose I should move my duff more too. I literally have no tush left and need to rebuild that. I see lots of stairs in my future :-) Thanks for the reply, and congrats I think I saw you reached your goal somewhere??? Awesome!

mathewsdv8 Okay well just be sure you alter your macros in accordance with your planned calorie reduction. I had plateaued but had been going over on my protein or my fats fairly regularly. Then I started planning my daily food each morning and sticking to my plan and surprise, I got off that plateau. So I find Carb Manager and the 5/70/25 ratio really works but it's not very forgiving, you really have to nail it especially near the end of your weight loss. Good luck Mathew!

juliemduruf0e2 I couldn't possibly answer that, but that's a lot of calories I think. If you're really heavy or quite tall, it may be quite right for you. I'm only 5'4", I put in that I was sedentary in the settings/profile, and I think it gave me around 1365 calories to start with. I go back into settings every month and enter my current weight and let it rejig all my limits for me. I now only get 1032 calories a day but I only have 1.5 lbs left to go. Yay me! So just check your settings carefully to be sure that's right. Then ignore calories altogether because on keto they don't matter one iota. Count your net carbs, fats and proteins. You'll find you nail the calories by just following the carb manager and building each day to hit your targets.

Alan Geni I found Dr. Berg videos helpful, and interesting. Dr. Ken Berry is great. There are some by Dr. Jason Fung. Look up the lecture called something like Why Salt Got Blamed for What Sugar Did. Gives the whole history of the wretched food guides we have been following for years which led us to our obesity problem and cancer and dementia. Oy. That should keep you busy for a while! And get out and walk. Just walk 40 minutes in one direction, then turn around and go home. And the computer keeps me out of the kitchen too. Mine's in my home office. I live in here! It helps. Good luck! You can do it!

julie LOL hey I'm only 5'4" and I started off at 205 lbs so take heart. I'm 136 today, with one pound to goal! If 2pm was your breakfast time, yes you can eat til about 8pm max I would think. And really, stop worrying about calories. Keto means you do not have to count calories at all, as this isn't a restriction will power diet we're on. Really just watch your macros. Mine is down to 13g carbs, 80g fat and 65g protein and I am full. Hard to believe but I'm actually full. I had 3 small eggs with cream for breakfast + half an avocado. They were out of large ones at the store. Ginormous salads are now a habit every single day, with strawberries and blackberries and chevre goat cheese, so awesome. I had one chicken thigh with that, and then a full ounce of white cheddar cheese. Burp! I'm rooting for you. Keep me posted on your progress!
