Jennifer J I've heard people suggest to cut out all dairy for a week to break a stall. When I'm not seeing the scale moving I start switching things up. Eat at different times of the day, eat only half my calories for two days then eat a few hundred over. Eat more protein than fat one day, loads of fat the next. I think especially for women our bodies like stability, and if we get into a pattern it will settle in and quit changing.

Patrickervin Your co-workers aren't understanding ketosis. Having a "carb day" can throw you out of ketosis and then you have to go back through the adaptation process, which can mean the lovely keto flu. Some people can have carb days and get away with it, others will be knocked out of ketosis by a banana. Since I started I've only "cheated" twice, Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner. I was lucky and stayed in ketosis after each, although I did have a couple of pounds come back that I had to shed again.

dshean87 we have similar goals. I am getting frustrated that the weight isn't just falling off anymore I'm mid week 3 and I'm down almost another pound :/ I was hoping to keep losing faster. I put on my jeans for the first time since I started and they don't feel looser or look any better even though I'm down almost 10.

Sseiser19 not sure how to friend you on here but I did follow your profile! We should keep in touch and keep each other accountable :) I am new to this diet but I have heard that normally the first week is the biggest loss because of all the water weight and then it tapers down to 1-2 lbs a week. Congrats on being down almost 10! That's amazing! Five years ago I lost 38 lbs doing WW and honestly I don't think I noticed a change with clothes until I hit closer to 20 lbs off. Right now I DO feel better in terms of no bloating at least.

dshean87 You can friend people from "Groups" posts by clicking on their name. But I cannot figure out a way to friend people from Forum posts. The Forum is disassociated from the rest of the app, I don't understand why they did it this way. But if you want to friend someone, ask them what one of the Groups they post in is named, go to that Group, and click on their name there. It will offer you a friend request box.

23 days into Keto. Started OMAD right away. I have no problem with it. I lost exactly 9kg in that time. OMAD helps me so much restricting my calories. I feel no hunger in the 23 hours between. I am glad i found Keto and this app helps me so much! It is also good for motivation. Also i tell a lot of people what i am doing and what my goal is (losing 30 kg in 4-5 months). Just to commit myself and stay on track. Sadly i just had to cancel a bachelors trip to Amsterdam. That would be 4 days of alcohol and junkfood and me being the lone sober guy. Well sacrifices are a part of it i guess.
Good luck to everybody reaching your goals!

Started a year ago.
3/1/2018 372.9 starting weight. Ultimate goal 160 if that is not too thin for my build. Was hoping for 250 in a years time but just wanted to feel healthy.
Current weight 205.6 Attached is a picture of before and after. The picture before was at 350-360. It was not my biggest I got but it does show a significant difference.

So here's a long winded check in from me. I'm 59, female, 5'6", retired, sedentary. I started on August 25 at 245lbs. I've been very strict, my only two "cheats" were Thanksgiving dinner and Christmas dinner. I am mostly 7pm OMAD, although some days I have cream and NC sweetener in my morning tea. Sometimes I have lunch, often when dining out with friends. This weekend I did my first 48 hour fast, having only black tea, water and keto snake juice from dinner Sunday till dinner Tuesday. I am 6.5 months in and this morning I weighed in at 185. 60lbs in 6.5mos.
Last week I found my diary from my previous diet effort back in 2010. My targets then were 1,200 calories, 10g fat daily on weekdays and less restrictive on weekends. My goals were the same as now, to at least get down to 150, and in my dreams 135. I literally worked my butt off at it, speed walking 3-4 miles daily (4mph), climbing all 11 floors of stairs at my workplace twice a day on my breaks, taking exercise classes at night and on weekends, and not enjoying my food very much. I recorded my feelings in this diet diary and I was tired, hungry and sore all the time. I also felt like I had very little time for myself, working full time and exercising a couple of hours a day. I started in late January at 226lbs. By my September target vacation date I had gotten down to 185, 41lbs in 8mos of extremely hard work and privation. Plus I managed to injure my knee with all those stairs and it still bothers me sometimes. I had to wear a soft knee brace on the vacation I'd worked so hard to look good for.
What a difference with keto. The food is great, I am never hungry, not even after a 48 hour fast. I don't have to exercise, although I'm trying to sell myself on the idea, after all, I have all this extra energy from keto! I've dropped 10 jeans sizes in 6 months, everyone who sees me is just stunned at how great I look. While I do view this as a lifestyle, I have the same September vacation target date as before, and even with the slow down as I progress I hope to get to 150 by then. I dare not even dream of a swimsuit-ready 135.
